Save Passwords with LastPass
LastPass was recommended to me about a month ago by someone I know, so I tried it out. It seems to be a great solution for saving passwords securely, since they are saved on LastPass servers, not your computer. It is also helpful if you have more than one computer and want to be able to easily access all passwords no matter which computer was used to create them. When you first set it up it finds all the current passwords stored on your computer and uses them to start the database.
The standard service is free, and they have an upgrade which can be used on mobile phones which costs $12/year. You actually can access it from a mobile phone, just browse to lastpass.com and sign in to your vault. You don’t need to upgrade to do this. I assume the upgrade just makes it easier.
You can also use it to create secure notes to store private information, to automatically fill in forms and to generate secure passwords.
I have created a short demo video…
