Kickass Copywriting Crash Course Part 8:  Don’t try to form your own parade

In this segment, John critiques a business model.  The woman wants to provide travel guides (where to make copies, where to get other business services) fro business travellers.

John tries to shoot it down, saying that it is not really a service that would be in demand, since you can just go to the hotel front desk and get that information.

This is very valuable feedback, since it gives her a new perspective and could save her a lot of time and money by guiding her away from an ill-conceived idea.

They talk about finding a parade in progress and jumping in front of it, and give her some ideas about how she could position her products, if she decides to go through with it.

The discussion concludes with a question and answer session with the topics including domain names, establishing a brand, using networking to expand your business, and going to live events to meet prospects.
