Here is a good example of how to “piggy back” your product to another list.  The cover letter is from the guy everyone on the list will recognize.  They already trust him, and are good customers.  His word is gold.

So use that trust, if you can.  Let him do a little bragging for you, and set the stage for reading your main ad or letter.

What this does is take a completely “cold” prospect, who doesn’t  know you from Adam… and warm him up considerably.  You’re  not arriving at the party as some anonymous geek and getting suspicious looks.  You are now an invited guest, the friend of a friend.  Huge difference.
