Rules of Engagement

Rules of Engagement

Before you post your first question, lesson, or make your first comment, please read this.

We’ve got just two rules we insist all members follow:

(1) No Affiliate Links

You are encouraged to suggest tools, services, software, training, etc. that you find helpful.  And it’s always appreciated if you take the moment to include a link to those websites in your reply or comment.

We want members’ tips to each other to be based on personal experiences and a willingness to share successes and, perhaps, failures or stumbles that could be avoided.

We don’t want any member to have any reason to doubt the veracity of any tips they pick up here.

So, under no circumstances can you link to any website via an affiliate link.

You are welcome to post links to any website or business you own or operate if you think you’ve got a product or service that can help your fellow members or provides an answer to a posted question.

(2) Debates and Discourse Shall, At All Times, Be Civil

We are all about debate and differences of opinion.

Agreeing with everything Stan Dahl, members of the Marketing Rebel Team, or any other member of the Marketing Rebel Insider’s Club have to say is NOT a requirement.

If you see things differently or know them to be different than what you read in any post, question, or answer, let us know. It’s OK to disagree with anything posted by any Marketing Rebel Team member or one of your fellow MRIC members.

We would not have made The Clubhouse a place for questions, discussion, and debate if we were not ready for that.

However, if you’ve ever spent any time online, you know that these things can deteriorate. People will type things to another person and click Post that they would never have the courage or stupidity to say face-to-face.

We have no tolerance for name-calling, flaming, harassment, etc. It is not what we want this website to be known for. You can get your fill of that in lots of other places.

Do not post anything you think there is even a chance we will judge to:

– Be harmful, threatening, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or sexually explicit

– Be racially, ethically, or otherwise objectionable

– Be defamatory, slanderous, or trade libelous

– Promote violence

– Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age

– Promote illegal activities; or

– Infringe or otherwise violate copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.

We will immediately delete any such comments and terminate your membership if we find anything that we place in any of these categories.  If we are on the fence, we will err on the side of termination.

If you think we have terminated you unfairly, you can appeal. The appeal process is as follows:

Raise your window, stick your head outside, and yell as loud as you can, “Life is Unfair.” And then your username. If we happen to hear you, we’ll contact you and ask for more information.

Thank you.
