On continuity/membership style. I heard that the drop off rate on avg is 3.5 months. For a say $20/mo. You’ll get a $70 from it.
My QUESTION is, why not have a group coaching one-time higher fee instead instead of the continuity program since most will cancel their membership anyways?
I can’t get my head around it.

I’ve been on the road for nearly a month — down in Florida to speak at the AWAI event, then to California for our mastermind in Redondo Beach, then Jon Benson’s mastermind in Malibu (where I was a guest presenter)… then a bunch of family stuff.
We’ll be doing a new podcast soon enough — just gotta carve out the time. I just posted a new Rant…Read more

John Carlton’s Best Ads: Pithify Your Pitch
Here is a good example of a simple way to organize a sales message that has multiple parts to it. If I'd tried to tell a story incorporating all these points, the letter would have ended up 16 pages long. I write long copy, but not if the same thing can be said in a...
John Carlton’s Best Ads: Hyper-Effective Cover Letter #5 — Barbara, My Long-Suffering Secretary
One of the biggest mistakes marketers make... is to get tired of their own advertising before the ads are actually dead. Sometimes, they pull ads that are still cooking at peak efficiency. They see the ad every day, they get tired of it, bored with it, their spouse is...
There are all types of business models. Some people have membership sites that have a lot of information on them. They encourage people to stay longer with discounted one-year or lifetime memberships. That model couldn’t be duplicated with one-off coaching, but the site owner could upsell the members to any number of other back end items,…Read more
