Hey Rebels!
I’m Liz, 23 years old, just graduated from college.
Midway through college I realized my obsession with business and marketing, namely startups.
Gradually, through my own study, I narrowed it down to EXACTLY what I’m obsessed with…..Direct Response!
Even as a child I was always an avid reader of sales letters – (they got me…Read more

I have a dilemma. I’m opening up a wound here, a very intimate part of me. Dealing with my fears. And I need some good advice. This is the place I know to get exactly that.
So in my business as an auto transport broker, every time I tried to go big and advertise, I’ve failed. I’ve come up with amazing packages and benefits (in my view anyway) but…Read more

Hi Vitaly. It’s a good question, but not one that has an easy answer. In your time in our mastermind group, we constantly tried to find that headline. Sometimes, the market is just sending you a clear message… and this may be one of those times.
Your prospects are probably freaked out about moving, about moving their precious automobile, about…Read more

Hi John, thank you for the update. Also, thanks so much for being patient with me. I know I keep going at the same thing, but I have this unrelenting desire to keep going at it until I’ve figured it out. To know why it’s not working. Often, I feel like if I was only a little more creative, if I could only think outside the box that everything…Read more

Hi Vitaly. I have no problem with patience, as you personally know. I will continue, however, to drive you into a corner, where reality is stark and brutal. That corner is where all entrepreneurs have to visit every so often, when their desires and goals outstrip their ability to make them real.
Here, yes, check out how the best movers sell…Read more

Hello,
One thing you might do is get rid of the guilt. If you are truly offering a superior service, there is nothing to feel guilty about. You can present the benefits of your service without the guilt. Many services are higher priced and succeed based on superior service.
I am a practicing hypnotist, and emotional blockages to success are…Read more

Hi,
I am not sure, if I’m posting in the right section here. And I really hope to get real advice from you guys. In the last couple months I have been reading, listening and seeing sooo much stuff about marketing, copywriting from you and some different sources like (Dan Kennedy, Jay Abraham, Gary Halbert, Frank Kern, Gary Bencivenga, etc) and I…Read more-
Hi Alex,
I don’t have any experience writing ads in German or Russian, but I have written successful copy for a Swedish client. I wrote the copy, she translated and it pulled pretty well. There are probably other members here who do have direct experience with German or Russian markets.
Having said that, I would be shocked if direct response…Read more

Alex – The main reason most of the “classic / historic” ads are in English is THE direct response medium was mostly direct mail, and pre-Euro Zone it was expensive and complex to mail across boarders. Different stamp and prices. And of course languages. European countries are all much smaller than the US, so it was much harder to find enough…Read more

Hi Liz.
Congrats on getting clued in to direct response at such a young age… you’re light years ahead of your classmates.
If I were you, I’d do both. Set up a blog and a services page and educate your generation (and others) on the power of direct response marketing and how to do it… and then of course, lead your target market to investing…Read more
