Hi team! Really loving reading through all of the amazing content here and John’s sales letters. I am curious if there are any famous examples of personal development sales letters? I am a professional life coach and am looking for great letters to model and learn from. Ideally I am looking for a letter than would point someone into 1 on 1…Read more

John Carlton’s Best Ads: Black Hawk Down!
I read a lot. And I advise you to read a lot, too. As an old English teacher once told me: Read a book a week. And then, in your spare time, read another one. Non-fiction, and fiction. Newspapers and magazine excerpts don't count. (One trick I allow myself: At any...
John Carlton’s Best Ads: Your Personal Invitation
I love to do "personal invitations". It's the ultimate use of personalization. You don't have to make the piece "look" like a real invitation, but you can. I haven't tested this option, but my gut tells me a little ostentatious "wedding invite" detail would boost...
None that I know of specifically.
Couple of things to try:
1. See what the most successful people in that niche are doing. Sign up for their emails. Go through their funnel.
2. Check sites like infomarketingblog.com and swiped.io
Hope that helps.
Best,
David
Yeah, I totally agree with David, above. Find out what the best (as you consider them) are doing, and use that as a baseline. You can go in different directions with your own marketing, but it’s best to understand precisely HOW you’re being different than what the best have settled on. Remember that they’ve been in the game for a while, and may…Read more
