Hi everyone! I just joined MRIC after completing SWS. While learning from John’s material I “reinvented” an ad for a weight loss biz and the phones went from luke warm to SIZZLIN’. Thank you John!!
I desperately want to launch a freelance career and having not done the Freelance course it seems like that is the next step.
I’m thrilled to be part…Read more

Hi All,
I’m working on a plan to create advertorials to pre-sale various affiliate products, starting with health & fitness products for people in their 40s.
I’ve never used the content referral networks before. Can anyone offer some first hand advice?
Step 1: Create the ad that goes in the content recommendation networks like Yahoo Gemini &…Read more

Hi Joe: I’m not familiar with the content referral networks, but there is one question I can answer. You should create your FB ads using the ads manager or power editor. Boost post is kind of a shortcut and you don’t have the targeting that you have using the other methods. I created a series of videos on FB advertising this past spring, which giv…Read more

Hi Joe – That’s a sound strategy. Which does not mean you’ll be able to make it turn a profit for every product or market.
There has been a lot of media lately about how pretty much every ad network is lying in big ways about number of impressions. They “display” the ad, but it may be way, way, way down a page with the scrolls endlessly. The…Read more

Hi All, I am starting to create a new sales page for one of my ebooks, and would like to know this:
I have a website that has a number of information products; folks can download these ebooks directly from my website. However, as is usual, if I use this product page as my sales page, there is a lot of site navigation at the top that may distract…Read more

In case it’s not clear from the above, the question I have is should I make a standalone sales page for each product, or can my sales page be my existing product page (with copy revamped)?
Thanks.

Can you post the link? This might be one of those things we need to see.
Most of the reports I see do not claim a big drop-off in conversions based on menu options at the top of the page.
Just don’t make the too much of a distraction.
Most important will be the once someone has scrolled past the menu and are into the sales copy, there should…Read more

Just read a Classic “OBVIOUS ADAMS”
Very good book by Robert R. Updegraff. As relevant today as when it was written years ago!

Marketing Rebel Club Member Hot seat: The Joys of Nicheing to the Extreme
On the Marketing Rebel Club hotseat today is Craig. He has taken nicheing (is that a word?) to the extreme. He does camp marketing. Not just camps, but summer camps. Not just summer camps but sports summer camps. This market is very concentrated. In fact, his prospect...
John Carlton’s Best Ads: A Really Long Letter To Every Bodybuilder Who Secretly Believes The Fat Cats Are Ripping Him Off
Here is that notoriously-long letter I wrote to the bodybuilding market a few years back. It's a trimmed-down version of the 23-page letter that originally went out - we condensed a bunch of the charts and whittled the thing down to a nice and tidy 16 pages....
John Carlton’s Best Ads: The 17th Version
This is one of the first letters I wrote for Gary Halbert. And it almost killed me. You see, I was already a hard worker. When I went solo as a freelance writer, I had one rule: Business before pleasure. I had spent my twenties being a...
How to Create an “Add to Calendar” Link For Your Events
One of the biggest hurdles in putting on an online event is getting people to actually show up. So you need to make it as easy as possible for them. One way is to include a link in your reminder emails that will allow them to add the event to their calendar......
Way to go, Chris! Congratulations!
Thank you Virginia!
Congrats. We LOVE to see these kinds of reports back on results. It reminds folks about what’s at stake, and how great it feels to nail a successful gig.
Keep it going, Chris…
Thank you John! I’m looking forward to reporting on more wildly successful gigs.
