Hi all!
I am a recent SWS graduate (the last batch) so technically I am not new.
I love it here so much that when my bonus IMRC membership (the one that comes with SWS) expired I just could not leave, so I signed up “for real” now 🙂 -

Howdy, just joined The Club and am eager to dive in. I was a SWS Coaching Student a few tears ago (the AWESOME David Deutsch was my coach).
I’ve been writing copy for a few years – for my own projects and employers – now investing more time into my freelance career.

Hi Hans: We have some very successful people here from other countries. I remember one of my SWS classmates lives in Switzerland and her first language is French. She did very well. That was 5 years ago and she is still selling the same product for which she wrote her sales letter.
If you scroll through here you will see several members from…Read more

Hi Hans: You had a comment here and it looks like it was deleted, but I will answer it anyway:
The Swiss SWS student I was talking about actually has 2 related products: Shop ‘N Cook and Shop ‘N Cook Pro. Her website is here: http://shopncook.com/
I would suggest you start with John Carlton’s corner. The swipe files, scuttlebutt sessions,…Read more

Hey all,
Myles here, living down Australia and new to the club, and a newbie in marketing.
I am a big fan of ILoveMarketing podcast and this introduced me to John….
A bit of my current situation: Started first business, IT consultancy in 2009 but was only trading my time for money and all work came through long-term contracts. I felt very…Read more

I’ve been Down Under four times now, love it. James Schramko and Ed Dale are good pals, from Manley and Melbourne. Glad that Dean and Joe introduced you to us…

Thanks John,
Don’t know James personally 🙂 – He has great value to add.-
I thought all you Aussies knew each other…

Hi Myles,
First up, keep at it! I’ve coached some folks from Australia, and one thing it seems is that it may be harder to innovate there than here in the U.S. My sister-in-law is a business prof in Melbourne and has said the same. I’ve seen all the innovation-oriented “big” tech stories trip some folks up by making them think their not doing…Read more

How to match a font
There are thousands of different fonts out there. If you see one you like on a website, sales letter, or even a PDF or Word doc, it is almost impossible to even narrow down the choices to determine what it might be. One site that I have found to be a great first step...
Make your writing error-free (spelling and grammar) with Grammarly
Sometimes it seems that it is a "macho" thing to do...to not care about the grammar and spelling when someone (not you, I'm sure) writes a blog post, email....even a paperback book. The attitude is that if the reader takes affront...well... it is the reader's problem,...
Don’t do this on Facebook…
For several years now, Facebook has been a great source of free traffic for websites. Of course, marketers have taken full...and in some cases, excessive...advantage of this. There has been more and more abuse in recent years, especially by websites that are in...
A wacky excuse to contact your prospects (or clients)
Anyone who uses content to keep in touch with customers and prospects occasionally (or maybe more often) hits a dry period where they can't think of new and interesting content to use engage their audience. Here is an idea that, with a little imagination, could be the...
Same with me, I was in Robert Gibson’s class ‘Sales Beasts’. It’s good seeing the same batch of SWS students here and other boards
Hi Jonathan: You should keep in touch with Robert and let him know how you are doing. He really loves to hear from his students.
I was just thinking the same! (:
