I heard Halbert say in a 2005 seminar I’m listening to that if he had little money to start over he would sell a “private label” weight loss product by direct mail. Does John or anyone else have experience with this concept? I’m intrigued…

Hello and HAPPY NEW YEAR MRIC!
Just watched “Give Your Market What it Wants” and it was a great half hour!
Several times John referred to “NICHEFY” and while I get the jist of it Im almost fairly certain I’ve heard him go into detail on that before just can’t recall if it was in the Copywriting,Freelancing,

I’m being courted by an independent music artist starting his own label, and he wants marketing help. I know that there are many different types of markets for his music, but I’m a little stuck as to where to start. Most music marketing competition are all doing brand building. He’s very similar to a Bruno Mars.

Here’s your homework: Study the market.
Find out who does the marketing for as many different artists in the same musical area as your artist… and get a solid idea of what they’re doing, how they’re doing it, and what the budgets are.
I don’t know this market at all, but I do know that most marketing is done by the recording corporations,…Read more

Thanks for the feedback John. It’s smart to start with the competition and what they are doing to win.

And I also recommend you get on Ben Swords email list. That guy is a super creative music marketer, applying a lot of classic online marketing to the music world.

Hey john, in your video on incorporation system you mentioned this… “strip your copy down to it’s bare essentials and talk to that skeptical hopeless prospect and tell him what are you going to do for him in the SHORTEST amount of time with my inner salesman standing behind you with a bat”
If you recall I wrote a post earlier last month I think……Read more-
Hi Jose. I still am not clear what you’re referring to.
I don’t know where that quote came from, either. I don’t recall ever saying it, but it would apply to many different parts of good salesmanship… including the elevator chat (which leads to your USP), a good sales message without tangents (basic copywriting), and just setting up a good…Read more

Private labeling just means you license a product that’s already being produced under your own brand. Halbert understood the diet market more than almost anyone else in the game, and had multiple winning packages he wrote for clients. And because he worked off a percentage, he made those clients his number one priority, and so knew more about the…Read more
By the way, not to cause too much trouble… but I’ve hung out with a lot of doctors, trainers, weight-loss specialists and life coaches. And while there ARE certain medical conditions that make it difficult to lose weight easily, the actual best way for most folks to do so remains “eat less and exercise”.
To lose even faster, eat BETTER and…Read more

21 days to change, or cement in a habit. I heard that phrase 30 years ago, believed it, and operated off of it. Quit smoking in a week, stopped jonesing in a month. Reconfigured my entire working habits, quit all caffeine, changed my weight set-point (I put on some muscle), just got in the habit of changing habits.
I have no idea if the 21-days…Read more

I’ve been in the fitness for over 12-years. I own a company that certifies personal trainers.
I’ve been working on a few new info-products and I’ve got a winner if I nail the copy.
Product creation is easy for me, it’s the copy that is hard.
Hi Evan: If you have copy you are working on now, just get it the best you can and apply for a hot seat. There is a link in the right column to the instructions. I would also suggest (if you haven’t already) you invest in “Kickass Copywriting Secrets”. It is under $100 and probably the best deal around. Just go here:…Read more

I know that creating and selling a private label product is not cheap. The least expensive way would be to find a company that would let you private label a product that they are already selling, but you would have to start your own company, design and print labels (they would probably do that for you but you would have to pay for it) and purchase…Read more
