  • Hello Rebels!

I’ll cut to the chase. Please provide the link to the special section devoted to deconstructing proven ads. Second, since I’m a rookie and need to get my knuckles bloody to get good, what’s your advise on Yellow Pages copy?

    • Where did you see the reference to the section on deconstructing proven ads?

    • Hello Virginia,

      Update 2-“Speed-Ripping Proven Ads”

Recommendation Number Two: Looking for really super-advanced guidance? In the Marketing Rebel Insider’s Club® online membership site, there’s a special section devoted to deconstructing proven ads and explaining the professional-level tactics behind the headlines, body copy, pitch and everything else.

    • I think you are looking for John Carton’s Best Ads, as he deconstructs each one of his best collection of ads in this section. “Each ad is broken down for you and explained in detail, so you’ll understand the thoughts behind each one”. We have a rotating selection available to our members in John Carlton’s Corner under “Browse some of John’s m…Read more

  • Hey all!

My SWS letter has been “in the wild” for nearly a week now. First of all, let me provide testament to the effectiveness of this method:

I have a 70% scroll event setup on my article and even though my SWS letter is nearly 4 pages longer, the same % of people are reaching the 70% mark! (And note, I still struggle with…Read more

    • Hi Adam,

Congrats on getting off to a great start applying the SWS. We look forward to adding you to our Wall of Testimonials.

I have a few comments for you.

  • Hello amazing community,

I’m on step 16, and I’m just wondering(maybe my question is stupid at this point) but I’ll ask anyways:
What’s the best way to start a copywriting side gig or even better, a copywriter agency/marketing agency? Or is it even worthy? Do you think guys this is possible or is the market extremely saturated with all kinds m…Read more

    • Thanks Stan! I was just wondering. I don’t think anyone will ask me for a certification or something since they’ll be more focused on results.

    • If I were new to direct response copywriting, I’d start looking for work in places I know or can learn about really fast.

Things I spend time and money on. If there is one, a family business I’ve lived around for years. I’d want to reduce the time needed for market research. Which takes a lot of time if you’re going to make it as a…Read more

  • Hello everyone,

I’m working on launching a health alternative product that uses herbal heat therapy to relieve arthritis joint pain. I’ve encountered an issue with the Google Ads platform. My 1’30” video ad was flagged because it apparently makes people have expectations about the product, which goes against their policy.

    I’ve revised t…Read more

    • I, too, would be curious about how Google operates after flagging something. This kind of oversight from the monopoly companies seems to change frequently, along with the reasons given for flagging, and the process for getting unflagged.

Anybody here have recent experience at getting approved on Google after being flagged?

    • Thank you, John, for your reply. I will check Fiverr to see if I can find someone to help me run this ad.

    • Hi Vivian,

Welcome to the real world of online marketing 🙂

Vs. the “it’s easy, you’ll be rich next month” world most people who teach or sell ANYTHING about online marketing describe.

      What you’ve experienced is common.

Once Google flags your account for anything they don’t like, if the account does not have a track record of doing a lot of…Read more

    • Hi Vivian: I had forgotten about this but my Google ads account was suspended (closed) many years ago because I was promoting Biz Op and they didn’t like it. It wasn’t going anywhere anyway, so I didn’t do anything about it, but later I wanted to get it going again just so I could use the Keyword Planner. I think they give you an email address…Read more

    • Thank you, Stan. You’ve made me feel better by showing that these challenges are common in the business world, not just something I’m experiencing. I’m moving forward to write another ad now, continuing to practice what I’ve learned in the SWS course.

    • Thank you Virginia , maybe direct mail is the way to fly this ad to the world or I create another lead generation funnel first with new ad….
