Hello everyone! I’m currently working full-time as a software engineer while simultaneously trying to start a business selling life insurance and estate planning.
The two main reasons I joined are first, to seriously level up my copywriting and marketing skills with all the amazing teaching resources here. Second, to get some helpful advice…Read more

Hello, Clubhouse! It’s nice to be here. I was beginning to wonder if the profession was dying out– glad to find this place.
I have three objectives for being here:
1.) Professional development. I’m certain my work isn’t as good as it could be. I’d like to become a sought-after copywriter, to choose what work I do.
2.) Professional tools.…Read more -

IRA Investments: Real Estate
Real Estate is a popular investment for IRA’s. This is probably because of the high growth/income potential and the fact that people understand it better than, say, oil and gas leases (with the possible exception being those who live in Houston). There are many ways...
Alternative Investments for Your IRA
The investment options for an IRA are almost unlimited. Just stay away from insurance policies and collectibles, and abide by the law against self-dealing. Of course, you should not use any investment that is already tax-advantaged, like tax-exempt securities,...
Retirement Planning Basics
This is the first in a series of articles that will discuss retirement plan options that are available to the self-employed person or small business owner. In this article I will explain some of the basic principles that underlie intelligent retirement planning. There is no rocket science here, I just want to be sure that everyone starts off on the same page.

Don’t Make These Mistakes in Managing your Self-Directed IRA
If you have a self-directed IRA, your investment choices are not restricted to just stocks, bonds, and CD’s. You can diversify your portfolio, reduce your risk and possibly increase your return by incorporating such investments as gold, real estate, ...
Hi Trent!
I just joined as well and also have an ML background and have worked in the industry for the past 6 years.
Oh cool! I’m actually looking for some ML jobs right now, I’ll need to maintain that income until I can make copywriting pay.
Let me know if you know of anyone hiring.
Just walk down any street in San Francisco and throw a pebble. You’ll accidentally hit someone in need of ML expertise 🙂
Are you looking for full-time employment or contract work?
I’m in Colorado, but I’ll have to give that a try next time I’m in the Bay Area!
At this point I’d go for either one, contract of full-time. I’m fluent across most of the ML tech stack, so there isn’t a whole lot I can’t handle.
Congrats on getting fluent in a challenging field! I get at least 3 recruiters hitting me up a week, if any are ML heavy I’ll send them your way!
Also you and anyone here is welcome to connect on LinkedIn. It’s the only social media I do

That would be magnificent, please do!
