  • John / Stan: Are either of you going to speak at your boy Harlan Kilstein’s “super site formula” event in AZ in November? Just wondering!

  • Larry E. posted an update 9 years, 4 months ago

    Hey John!
You had mentioned on Tuesday on your Facebook blog that you will be speaking at this months AWAI BOOTCAMP in Florida!
For those of us who are MRIC members but not fortunate to be attending this years Bootcamp can you please post your talk on MRIC?
    Thanks!

  • Empathy, 17 rewrites, and what was different? John, in this post you share the 17th revision for a Gary Halbert letter which became the control: https://1023.marketingrebelclub.com/lessons/sf-the-17th-version/ My question, if you can verbalize it/write it: If the “you” who wrote the 17th version could go back and explain the difference to…Read more

    • In other words, if you had to “teach” your version 1 of the letter self how to do it quicker. . .what things would you point out to speed the process?

    • For me, at that period in my development, there WAS no shortcut. All writers who eventually make the craft of writing their main gig will go through a similar gauntlet at least once. I actually did this “insane number of rewrites” thing several times, with different mentors. I ghost-wrote packages for the legendary A List writer Jim Rutz (inventor…Read more

      • Shortcuts are learning. I accept the work, but when I taught kids martial arts, young kids, if they knew the capital L, I could teach them left versus right within 15 seconds. If they didn’t know a capital L, add another 15 seconds. If I saw something to save them the struggle of repetition and mistakes and communicate it, then it’s just good…Read more

        • All of my courses involve shortcuts. I love shortcuts. That’s not what you asked.

Would you send a kid out to a fight in the real world with just a couple of shortcuts in karate?

The real biz world is cuttthroat. First, learn your craft. The only shortcuts you should use are the ones that maybe cut the actual grief of the process (by showing…Read more

  • NickC just wanted to thank you for your info about Scrivener!
Before Virginia yells at me! lol when I find your update post I will thank you there! Unfortunately what happens is posts come to me as an email (which I’m unable to reply to MRIC posts from) then when I comeback to Clubhouse on my iPhone or Air I can’t find the update you posted!

    • PS what I meant by assistance is several other MRIC members mentioned if I post the specs on new Computers ( PC and/or laptop) they will assist me in picking one that will be good for Copywriting etc. then the task will be the software!

  • Hi Everyone:
New exited member of the Carlton Gang…signing in.
So excited to join a group of like minded marketers.
John Carlton: I’ve followed you from afar in the AWAI world, and you simply resonated with me the most. I love the scrappy, street tough rebel guru that you are. And I am here to take the first bold, big-assed steps in getting…Read more
