Hi, All. I’m excited to join the MRIC community. It’s always great to hang out with successful people and I have much to learn from you.
I’m brand new to DRM, but am an enthusiastic learner. I’m just getting developed a DRM-style website, and will be using that to market John Maxwell’s recently published book, Intentional Living, as well as my…Read more -

I have a quick question. A client of mine who is not familiar with the right kind of copywriting and marketing methods John teaches is thinking about starting up a physical product based business. I was wanting to suggest they look at the Platinum Mastermind Group. But then I thought it might would be better if they took him up on the 1 hour phone…Read more

Hi Billy: John or Stan will be here to answer this. They were out of town last week on business and are busy catching up on things. I know that when someone applies for the mastermind they have a call to get a handle on their business and their needs first, to make sure there is a fit. I believe that, after they have that call, if they think…Read more

Hi Virginia. No problem, that sounds good. I won’t see them until next week anyways, so certainly no rush. Have a great day!

Hi Billy,
Thanks for thinking of us.
When someone joins The Platinum Mastermind Group, Carlton and I do a 1-hour coaching call with them before their first meeting.
That way they have something in motion and are ready to take full advantage of their first meeting.
Effectively, the mastermind group comes with a free 1-hour coaching call as a…Read more

Hi Stan,
Thank you very much for the information. That makes allot of sense and sounds quite reasonable. I will pass on the message and will put it in their hands.
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.
In the meantime, I hope you all are warm and doing good.
Have a great week!
Billy

Hi Ralph,
Hang in there, get married and get that HDB Flat, lol!
Just kidding. I used to live and work at DDB Singapore as an Art Director.
I loved it! But left to be a Creative Director in Vietnam, then Thailand.
Aloha!

John,
Check it out! Am I using this word correctly;
“I grok where he’s coming from”
“I grok the material completely”
If I said;
“I totally grok the material”
would the use of totally be wrong as grok would in itself include totally or completely understand?
Thanks for clarifying!
Merry Ho Ho!
Larry E-
It basically means “understand at a deep level”. Found this on Google:
grok
ɡräk/
verb US informal:understand (something) intuitively or by empathy.
“because of all the commercials, children grok things immediately”
empathize or communicate sympathetically; establish a rapport
-
Thanks John! That answered my question as it appeared to be a verb but I wasn’t sure! Now I grok the meaning!
-
John,
This was 60’s “sci fi speak” – “Stranger In A Strange Land”
Robert A. Heinlein
Mark L – SWS Instructor and Cucamonga Peak Ranger-
Yes, a made-up word that took hold in the language. Even people who never read Heinlein know and use the word now. I’m doing my best to keep it part of the language…

People in tech use grok especially, especially in *nix circles. It’s just too good of a word.
