I came across an interesting site the other day and thought I’d pass it along.
A big problem for many who work alone is maintaining focus. There are so many distractions that it is sometimes hard to keep your […]

Hi, following Step 2 of the “thanks for joining page”
My name is David Pae.
My most pressing issue is I need someone to critique my copy, when I need it critiqued, so I can confidently put something up knowing I won’t be testing poor copy.
I don’t need someone to teach me copywriting, this I have been exposed to long enough.
I need someone to…Read more

Hi, thanks for your help.
I had 2 questions:
1. If I’m selling a Hypothyroid diet system (ebook) through Fb Ads, do I need a presell page and specifically has anyone got some great examples of high converting ones? Ones that shift people’s mindsets from a social to a buyer mindset, if that’s even necessary.
2. Has anyone got experience of using…Read more-
Hi Tim,
(1) I can all but guarantee you’ll sell more if you take people from your FB ad to an information-rich page that demonstrates understanding of and a solution to the problem agitated by the FB ad.
Offer them something free on that page. You can start selling as soon as the Thank You page on the other side of the opt-in.
(2) If ugly…Read more

Thank you so very much, Pete and Stan

One last question, I think! -:)
So from the thank you page, what I’d like to do is to drive people to my VSL, apart from my autoresponder emails, what would you suggest?
I.e. what’s the best way to drive them from the thank you page to a VSL?

Information overload…help with the rabbit hole…
I wondered if someone could help.
I signed up a month or two ago, and completely forgot I had done so!
I’ve now signed up for the SWS, which I’m looking forward to getting started with.
BUT – whenever I login, I get drawn into the rabbit hole that is info overload. Clicking from post to…Read more

Hi Liam: I would first get started with the Simple Writing System coaching and concentrate on that, since the live coaching is available to you for a limited time only.
After you activate your SWS coaching your login is changed so you go directly to the SWS home page, instead of the Clubhouse. That should help keep you focused.
During the 9…Read more

Hello all, I have been in this club a while now trying to learn how to write a good ad looking for salon talent. I have learned so much however I think I need to hire someone to rework it so people will apply. I would like to ask what does something like that cost?

John Carlton’s Best Ads: Riding Buck Naked on a Clapped-Out 2 Stroke!
Every so often, one of my clients decides to go cause trouble in a completely new field. The following ad appeared in a niche magazine recently, and caused shock waves throughout the industry. Just like we intended. Most markets out there have never seen this type of...
John Carlton’s Best Ads: Secrets Revealed
Every market in existence has inside secrets. Yes, even yours, no matter what business you're in. There are secrets to French cooking, carpentry, scoring high in math tests, playing piano and becoming an astronaut. Also cleaning carpets, battling weeds in your garden,...
John Carlton’s Best Ads: Pithify Your Pitch
Here is a good example of a simple way to organize a sales message that has multiple parts to it. If I'd tried to tell a story incorporating all these points, the letter would have ended up 16 pages long. I write long copy, but not if the same thing can be said in a...
John Carlton’s Best Ads: Hyper-Effective Cover Letter #5 — Barbara, My Long-Suffering Secretary

The Freelance Course

Hi David: You can apply for a hot seat if you want John and Stan to review your copy. I know you already had one but I checked with Stan and he said it was OK with him for you to do another.
that is cool but I have found myself a mentor more suited for my level
I’m using MRIC for its resources available 🙂
You are welcome to post your copy here for critique, but if you want, as you say, to “tear my copy a new one before I put it up so I can stop wasting advertising dollars on poor copy”, the best way to do that is through a hot seat. It is one of the resources of the Club and is free.
